PURPOSE:To prevent defective rolling-in in splicing, by accommodating a long printed web fed continuously from a rotary press by accommodation means temporarily for interrupting its feed into a splicing unit for a while for cutting it and adhering it to a core metal with fluid applied to it. CONSTITUTION:A long printed web fed continuously from a rotary press is supplied to a winder by an out feed roller through an accumulating roller unit and a dancer roll unit. When the out feed roller stops, the printed web fed is accommodated temporarily by the dancer roller unit and the accumulating roller unit. When the out feed roller stops, pressing roller 44', 45 are driven in response to a signal so that the printed web 3 is pressed to a unit core 7. At the same time, a molton roller 43 to which water is transcribed by a water roller 40 in a preparation step is also pressed to the core 7. Next, the printed web 3 is adsorbed by an adsorbing plate 47 and cut by a cutter 48 accurately. Then, the adsorption is released and a new core is rotated in a reverse direction and the cut edge of the printed web 3 is adhered by means of water. |
