PURPOSE:To ensure the adsorption of a bag, by attaching a retaining section to an adsorbing section so that the retaining section is movable overcoming a spring or the like, thereby the retaining force is constantly controlled irrespective of the thickness of stack of bags. CONSTITUTION:When a retaining section 9 abuts against a workpiece 100 in association with the relative movement of an adsorbing section 6, the retaining section 9 is moved by a predetermined distance overcoming the resilient force of a spring 10 or the like, and therefore the retaining section 9 actuates a switch 11 so that the relative movement of the adsorbing section 6 is stopped. In this condition, the adsorbing section 6 sucks up the workpiece 100. Thereafter, the adsorbing section 6 is moved relatively so that the workpiece 100 is taken out while the retaining section 9 is returned to its original position by the resilient force of the spring 10 or the like. When the retaining section 9 is moved by a predetermined distance from a reference position at which it abuts against the workpiece 100, the relative movement of the a sorbing section 6 is stopped, and therefore, the stopping position of the adsorbing section 6 with respect to the workpiece 100 may be made to be constant even though the thickness of stack of workpieces 100 varies, thereby it is possible to maintain the retraining force of the adsorbing section 6 at a constant value.
