PURPOSE:To quickly confirm a level and to facilitate an image processing operation by controlling the coefficient of a sensitivity switching circuit depending on whether the image quality of a video signal is improved or the level existing after integration is confirmed. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from a television camera is inputted to an input signal terminal 1, converted into a digital signal by an A/D conversion circuit 2 and the coefficient is controlled by the sensitivity switching circuit for data subjected to A/D conversion. An adder/subtractor circuit 4 adds or substracts an output signal of the circuit 3 and an output signal of a 1-frame memory circuit 5, the result is subjected to D/A conversion by a D/A conversion circuit 6 and the result is outputted to an output signal terminal 7. When the picture quality is improved, the circuit 4 applies addition to prescribed frame number and the integrated 1-frame memory signal is stored in a 1-frame memory circuit 5. Then the incidence of light is shut off to output only a fixed pattern noise, the circuit 4 applies subtraction by prescribed frame numbers and the 1-frame signal subtracted by same the number of frames from the integrated signal is stored.
