CIRCUIT DIVISION SYSTEM FOR LOGICAL LSI

PURPOSE:To divide a circuit speedily by assigning colors to signal lines while tracing the coupling relations among the signal lines from the output terminal of a logic circuit to the input terminal. CONSTITUTION:A data input device 401 input input/output signal line data of the logic elements stored in a storage device 404 and coupling signal line data on signal branch points stored in a storage device 405 to a divided circuit display device 400. A color assigning device 402 uses those data to assign colors to signal lines while tracing the coupling relation among the signal lines from the output terminal of the circuit to the input terminal. The color assignment result of the respective signal lines and data for logic circuit diagram display stored in the storage device 406 are used by a device 403 to generate data for divided circuit display, thereby displaying a divided circuit on the screen of a graphic terminal 407. Consequently, the time required for circuit division is shortered greatly and a circuit having a large number of gates like an LSI is divide speedily.
