A brake system with slip control is of the kind comprising a pedal-actuated vacuum booster (3) with a dual-circuit master cylinder (2), to which the wheel brakes (31, 32, 33, 34) are connected via brake lines (53, 61), an auxiliary-pressure source (62) with a hydraulic pump (26), with a pressure-compensating and pressure-fluid supply reservoir (20), as well as wheel sensors (S1, S2, S3, S4) and electronic circuitry (44) for determining the wheel rotational behaviour and for generating electric braking-pressure control signals which serve to control electromagnetically actuatable pressure-fluid inlet valves (29, 38, 39) and outlet valves (30, 35, 36) inserted into the brake lines (53, 61) and into the supply line (40) for slip control. A regulating valve (23) is provided in order to control the auxiliary pressure and to adapt the latter to the pressure in the pressure chambers (8, 9) of the master cylinder (2). The wheel brakes (31, 32) of the rear wheels (HL, HR) are jointly connected via the supply valve (29) to the supply line (40) which forms the third brake circuit and which is acted upon by controlled pressure, while the wheel brakes (33, 34) of the front wheels (VR, VL) are connected to the two static brake circuits (I and II) in which the non-return valves (27, 28) are inserted. <IMAGE>
