PURPOSE:To make an incoming display without disordering an image when there is an incoming signal during image communication by providing an image information center with a detecting means for a request signal and a generating means for an incoming display image signal to a picture terminal. CONSTITUTION:When the VCW signal detecting circuit 61 of a terminal device 6 detects a signal VCW, a CWRQ generation instruction circuit 62 sends out a generation instruction for a signal CWRQ to the image terminal 11. The image terminal 11 of a common-use subscriber 1 when receiving the generation instruction for the signal CWRQ generates the CWRQ. which is transmitted to the image center 3a. The CWRQ detecting circuit 31 of the image center 3a when receiving the signal CWRQ operates a CWPIC generating circuit 32 to edit and transmit an incoming display image signal CWPIC to the image terminal 11 in communication. The image terminal 11 receives the signal CWPIC and displays the arrival of an incoming call during calling on the screen. Consequently, when the incoming call is generated during the image communication, the incoming call is displayed on the without disordering the image.
