PURPOSE:To easily discriminate at a look whether a print protective member has been used, by providing an indicative layer comprising a color forming or color-changeable substance on one side of a base. CONSTITUTION:When this print protective member is used for a lamination treatment, an indicative layer comprising a color forming or color-changeable substance provided on an exposed side of a base is caused to form a color or is changed in color due to a change to which it is subjected during the treatment, thereby functioning to indicate that the protective member is used for the lamination treatment. The change to which the indicative layer is subjected during the lamination treatment may be heating, application of pressure or the like for lamination, and a substance or composition capable of forming a color or undergoing a change in color when it is heated or a pressure is applied thereto is used as a material for forming the indicative layer. Since it can be discriminated at a look whether a given print protective member has been used for the lamination treatment, the yield in protection of prints is enhanced, and contamination of a laminating machine can be obviated. |
