A contactless transport of fine particles in pipelines is performed by means of a pipeline which consists of a number of units arranged one after the other in a row and of which each has a cylindrical electrode (1), a nozzle (4), an insulator (3), and a cylindrical earthing electrode (2) which are interconnected one after the other in the longitudinal direction and provided with a device for supplying a direct voltage between the two electrodes for the purpose of generating an electrostatical field in the pipeline. Fine particles which have been previously charged and flow through the electrostatic field which is established by the electrode having the same charge, are drawn towards the central axis of the pipeline because of the repulsive force, upon which the flowlines of the gas flow carrying the particles are subsequently pressed together by the nozzle, as a result of which the linear velocity of flow is increased such that the particles are not permitted to be drawn in the direction of the earthing electrode. <IMAGE>
