PURPOSE:To facilitate mounting and demounting of a connection plate damper, by a method wherein plural connection plate dampers, each having opening parts for inserting a tenon and a stepped part at the end part of the opening, are combined together in a reverse direction to each other, and the end part of each opening part is folded to secure the end parts by means of a ring. CONSTITUTION:A connection plate damper 1 is inserted in a gap between a blade 14 and a shroud 3, and is locked to a tenon 6 of the blade 14. In this case, two connection plate dampers 1a and 1b, each of which is formed such that it has opening parts 2 for inserting the tenon 6 and a stepped part 4 at the reverse end of the opening part 2, are combined together in a reverse direction to each other to form the connection plate damper 1. End parts 1A and 1B of the opening are folded, and a ring 5 is secured to the end parts 1A and 1B of the opening so that the opening part 2 is prevented from expansion due to a centrifugal force. This connection facilitates mounting and demounting of the connection plate damper 1, eliminates the need to replace the blades 14 throughout the whole periphery, and enables reduction of a repair expense.
