PURPOSE:To easily attain usable and rapid arithmetic processing by reading out data arrayed immediately before the storing position of a leading sequence instruction in a user memory only by one byte just before the start of sequence operation and then starting the sequence operation. CONSTITUTION:The user memory 4 stores a sequence programs SPG and a CPU 3 executes arithmetic processing based on the SPG in accordance with processing procedure stored in a ROM 5 and stores the operated result in a data RAM 8. A step counter 12 is set up to an optional value by reading out an optional address from the memory 4 through a decoder 10 and a step counter control circuit 11. An I/O number signal with the constitution of a sequence instruction read out from a counter 12 or an address bus signal from the CPU 3 is selected by a selector circuit 14 and a signal from the circuit 14 or the signal read out from the counter 12 is selected by a selector circuit 13. When data arrayed immedately before the storing position of the leading instruction in the memory 4 only by one byte just before the start of operation, the counter 11 automatically counts up the value of the counter 12. Thus, rapid arithmetric operation can be attained by simple operation.
