PURPOSE:To put a cold cathode type solid-state electron beam generating member in continuous operation by supplying a control signal from a control means to the power source part of a cold cathode member or acceleration electrode member. CONSTITUTION:A current flowing to an acceleration electrode 6 is detected by a detecting means 7 and the current value is sent to the control means, so that a control signal proportional to the current value is outputted from the control means. when this control signal is fed back to the power source part of the cold cathode member, a driving voltage from the power source 11 varies and the current quantity of an electron beam from the cold cathode member is adjusted to a proper value. When the control signal is fed back to the power source part of the acceleration electrode member, the voltage of the acceleration electrode which is supplied from the power source part varies and a current flowing from the acceleration electrode to the cold cathode member is controlled to adjust the current quantity of the electron beam. Consequently, an image forming device is put in stable operation continuously.
