<p>The application relates to a device for producing connecting seams between overlapping parts made of elastomeric or thermoplastic material, in particular in the case of roofing sheets or sealing sheets, the parts to be joined being heated in the region of the seam to be produced and being clamped between two device parts joined preferably not mechanically to one another, and a heating bar being provided in the region of one of the device parts and an abutment in the region of the other part. To achieve, in this arrangement, a high pressing force with high operational reliability in a simple manner, according to the invention measures are proposed for generating the pressing force by means of magnetic fields and for dissipating or insulating the heat produced during the operation of the device.</p> |
