PURPOSE:To display a current position and a current direction in a more easy- to-read state by interrupting the rotation of a map during the turning of a car and rotating the map by a specific angle a certain time after the car enters a straight driving state. CONSTITUTION:When azimuth data is inputted from an azimuth detecting means 1 to a turning angle calculating means 4, the difference (turning angle) between last azimuth data and current azimuth data is calculated. Then, a turning unit detecting means 5 detects whether or not the turning angle is larger than a specific value and when so, a detecting means 1 inputs the azimuth data to a straight driving detecting means 10 to detect whether the car moves straight or not. when it is decided that the car moves straight, a straight driving time calculating and storing means 11 calculates the straight driving time. Then when the straight driving is carried on for a specific time, a turning request decision means 12 outputs a turning request signal to a display control means 6 to rotate the display map with a control signal from a display data rotating means 9. |
