<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an electric charge measuring method for an electric insulator which increases S/N and also improves errors in measurement due to the electric charging of a probe by applying an AC voltage to the insulator and measuring the quantity of electric charge nearby the zero point of an alternating current. CONSTITUTION:A gas insulated base wire consists of a cylindrical sheath 2 for feeding a high voltage and a high current and an insulating spacer 3 made of the electric insulator for supporting a high-voltage conductor 1, and insulating gas 4 such as SF 5 for electric insulation is charged in the space in the sheath 2. The probe 5, on the other hand, is used to measure the electric charge of the insulating spacer 3 and the probe 5 or insulating spacer 3 is rotated mechanically to measure the quantity of electric charge in the peripheral direction of the insulating spacer 3. An AC power source 6 provides a voltage of <=50kv and the quantity of electric charge of the insulating spacer 3 is measured nearby the zero point of the AC voltage.</p> |
