The invention relates to a haymaking machine with a mounting bracket which is designed as an articulated bracket (2) and of which the jib (supporting arm) (4) carrying the working appliance (1) is pivotable relative to a mounting frame (supporting frame) (3) connectable to the tractor or the like and, in the working position, can be reset into a basic position/middle position by means of spring devices and, when the machine is raised, is automatically returned to its middle position and fixed there. The vertical pivot shaft/articulation device and two stops for the rigid setting of the jib are located at the corner points of an upright triangle, so that a stable triangular support of the jib in the machine-transport position is obtained. In an especially preferred way, the pivot joint and the return device for the jib are formed by the same part and are designed as an upright leaf-spring (unit) which is pivotable about a lower axis extending in the direction of travel (F) and which is subjected to torsional and bending stress and the end regions of which are each clamped fixedly in terms of rotation on one of the two parts (mounting frame 3 or jib 4). In order to damp the impact loads, non-metallic buffer members (6, 6'), for example made of rubber and/or plastic, are interposed in the region of articulation between the jib (4) and the mounting frame (3). <IMAGE>
