PURPOSE:To enable the minute displacement test of a test piece to be performed by mounting the test piece to a test jig via a damper material with a smaller elastic modulus than that of the test piece. CONSTITUTION:The upper end of a test piece 14 is fixed to an upper chuck 15a and a rubber material 13 as a damper material is mounted on a lower chuck 15b. The lower end of the test piece 14 is supported by the upper surface of the rubber material 13. As a fatigue test by a one-way oscillatory compression, a sine wave is outputted from a load setting circuit so that the maximum load of about 500g is generated by an actuator 21. At this time, although the shrinkage of the test piece 14 is of the degree of 1mu, the rubber material 13 shrinks 20 times or so as much as the test piece 14, so that the operating stroke of the actuator 21 and therefore the flow rate of a flow in a servo valve 11 becomes about 20 times as much as compared with the case wherein the rubber material 13 is not used. The servo valve 11 controls a flow rate in the region of the increased flow rate. Thus, the minutedisplacement test of the test piece can be performed.
