To form extrudable materials into elongate stock of circular or annular cross-section, the displaceable and fixable die delimiting the extrusion gap is surrounded by a concentric ring which, with its inner surface, acts directly or, via an intermediate element, on the die and is rotatably mounted by means of the outer surface concentric thereto; the ring is divided into two parts, the plane of the division running eccentrically between the concentric inner and outer surface.
