The light sensitivity of optoelectronic transducers can be enhanced with the aid of image intensifiers. These arrangements have previously only been used for generating monochromatic images. For displaying multi-chromatic images, therefore, a colour television camera having only one image intensifier is proposed, which has a high light sensitivity. The colour television camera exhibits a number of semiconductor sensors on which corresponding colour separation images are imaged with the aid of a colour-dividing prism system. Between the colour-dividing prism system (1) and semiconductor sensors, a single near-focus image intensifier is arranged on the photocathode (4) of which three colour separation images (R, G, B) of exactly the same size are projected, the semiconductor sensors being coupled via one fibre-optical system each to the positions of the fibre optics output window, exhibiting the screen, of the near-focus image intensifier, which are opposite the projected separation images. The colour television camera can be used in disadvantageous light conditions, particularly as a so-called "night-sight camera". <IMAGE>
