PURPOSE:To obtain the small-sized and lightweight captioned device by transmitting a turning moment supplied from an automatic transmission to a planetary gear mechanism and transmitting said turning moment to a countershaft through an output gear, thus reducing the dimension in the axis line direction. CONSTITUTION:A planetary gear mechanism 18 is Ravigneaux type planetary gear train is connected with the first and second multidisc clutches 12 and 14 of an automatic transmission 6, and an output gear 16 for the first speed reduction is arranged between the clutches 12 and 14 and the planetary gear mechanism 18. A countershaft 22 is connected with the output shaft 16 through a meshed gear 20, and a differential gear 28 is connected with the countershaft 22 through the gears 24 and 26 for the second speed reduction.
