PURPOSE:To reduce the anti-pressure strength of a cooling water sealing members, by setting smaller the inlet and the outlet diameter of a cooling water passage circulating from a bearing member to the inside of a rotary shaft, and making different the gas pressures to pressurize both sides of a thrust disk. CONSTITUTION:The rotary anode of an X-ray generator is rotated by a noncontact type rotary shaft 3. In this case, a cooling water passage circulating from a bearing member 9 to the inside of the rotary shaft 3 is formed of an intake water way 24, an outlet water way 25, circular water ways 28a and 29a, and water ways 23 inside the rotary shaft 3, and, the inlet and the outlet holes 31 to and from the circular water ways 28a and 29a are made smaller. In such a way, the flow speed is increased, the static pressure is decreased, and the pressure applied to cooling water sealing members 26 is made lower. Furthermore, the gas pressure applied through the passage to both sides of a thrust disk installed at the rotary shaft 3 is set higher at the rotary anode side. Therefore, a centrifugal force inflicted to the sealing members 26 and the uneven pressure imposed to the thrust disk can be reduced effectively.
