摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce generation of defective goods in the manufacture process remarkably by providing a head support member attachably and detachably to a carriage main body. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head of side 0 is fitted to a prescribed position on a chip mount 15. In this case, rough position setting is applied without conducting azimuth adjustment of a read/write gap of the magnetic head and a connection part 17 of the chip mount 15 is fitted to the hollow part of a carriage main body 16 and the chip mount 15 is fixed tentatively to the carriage main body 16 by a tightening screw 18. In this case, the screw 18 is fitted to a screw hole 19 of the chip mount 15 via a throughhole 20 of the carriage main body 16. In the semi-fixed state as above, the azimuth of the read/write gap of the magnetic head on the chip mount 15 is measured and the position of the chip mount 15 is adjusted minutely in the right/left arrow 21 so as to make the measuring result to a proper value, then the screw 18 is tightened to fix the chip mount 15 onto the carriage main body completely.
