PURPOSE:To produce the titled material moldable at a high speed, having excellent heat-resistance and optical characteristics and suitable as an optical part such as optical disk base, etc., by compounding a cation polymerization catalyst to an epoxy compound and polymerizing the compounded composition under irradiation with light. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy compound (e.g. glycidyl methacrylate, bisphenol A epoxy resin, etc.) is compounded with 0.01-5wt% cation polymerization catalyst (e.g. onium salt compound of Lewis acid anion, etc.) and the obtained composition is polymerized by light irradiation to obtain the objective molded article. It is preferable to accelerate the polymerization by the heat-treatment prior to, simultaneous to or after the light irradiation. |
