PURPOSE:To attain correction of deviation by setting a disk to a floppy disk drive, approaching the head to a prescribed track and obtaining an output of prescribed arrangement to each burst proportional to the deviation between the track and magnetic head thereby applying arithmetic processing. CONSTITUTION:In an aligned disk recorded with a signal for measuring magnetic head mount position, bursts d1-dn are written at the outside of a center line of a prescribed track at different position from bursts a1-an, bursts c1-cn are written at the inside near the bursts a1-an and burst b1-bn are written near the bursts d1-dn. An aligned disk is set to a drive FDD to read the 1st - 4th bursts in a prescribed track. Burst outputs Vai, Vbi, Vci, Vdi of the i-th order (i=0-n) are read the ratios (Vai/Vbi) and (Vdi/Vci) are calculated to obtain mean values VA, VB and further a mean robe ratio alpha is obtained and displayed. Thus, the effect of the modulation characteristic of the medium is eliminated and the necessity of the medium selection is avoided, then the cost is reduced and the effect of the eccentric drive of motor is eliminated and the measuring accuracy and work efficiency are improved. |
