<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the tracking error by setting the level of a signal current recorded by duplicated writing to a prescribed value under the decision of a level of a preceding pilot signal, thereby suppressing the rocking of a tape at the tracking to a permissible value. CONSTITUTION:A recording/reproducing head 2 is traced along a track recorded on a magnetic tape 3 of a recorder and a pilot signal from an ATF signal recording section of the preceding and succeeding tracks adjacent to both sides of the track by the 1st and 2nd sample and hold circuits 25, 27. The 3rd sampling pulse SP3 is inputted to the circuits 25, 27 and the pilot signal P is held by the 3rd sample and hold circuit 30. Then the output of the circuit 20 is fed to a level discrimination circuit 31 to discriminate whether the level is smaller or larger than the existing signal, and when the signal P is larger, the amplification factor of an amplifier 9 connected to a head 2 is controlled by a storage current setting section 32 to prevent the production of a tracking error.</p> |
