The device includes a cylinder frame 2 consisting of two half sections 2a, 2b and being uprightly fixed on a base 1. The frame is provided with press forming rollers 3, 3a, 3b arranged radially with an equal spacing, and the shafts 4s of the rollers are clamped between the sections 2a and 2b, which are joined by bolting. The rollers are connected to respective drive units 21. The device can process a pipe positioned in the center of the rollers to form recesses on the surface of the pipe while axially moving with rotation.
