PURPOSE:To prevent a seat from interfering with a side wall by pressing the sat toward the side wall from the foundation thereof with a pressing means via a support member in a normal condition and separating the support member from the side wall against the pressing means with a slide friction member pushing a guide member in turning the seat. CONSTITUTION:When a lock mechanism 23 has been released by operating a foot pedal 27 and lowering a lock piece 25, a base 4 and a foundation 7 are unlocked. Then, when a seat 20 has been turned, for example, toward the rear side in a clockwise direction by handling a seat back 18 or a seat arm 19, a slide friction member 21 turns. In this case, while rolling in contact with a guide member 22, the friction slide member 21 is pushed out toward the midship part of a cabin and a support member 5 is slidably moved to said part concurrently therewith against an extension coil spring 9. Therefore, the shift of the foundation 7 toward the midship part of the cabin ensures that the seat 20 can be turned without any interference of the side corner part of the seat 20 with a side wall 8.
