<p>A log dump scale apparatus supported by base brackets containing load cells for the removal of logs from a transporting vehicle. Drive chain sprockets are powered by operator controlled motors. Twin conveyor chains, one on each side of the apparatus, encircle the drive and additional idler sprockets and extend the length of the conveyor. Pull-off pulleys are connected to the idler chain sprockets. Cables are connected to the pull-off pulleys and cable dogs attached to the cables are connected to the logs on the transporting vehicle. Activation of the motors reels the cable and attached cable dogs together with logs to the conveyor chains where conveyor chain dogs contact the logs and remove them from the vehicle. When the logs are free from the vehicle, they may be weighed.</p> |
