PURPOSE:To improve workability, molding properties, shelf stability of product, yield, etc., by uniformly blending ground fish or kneaded meat with a specific amount of psyllium seed in production of fish or animal meat paste product. CONSTITUTION:In production of fish or animal meat paste product, the ground fish or kneaded meat is uniformly kneaded with 0.03-3pts.wt. based on 100pts. wt. finished product of psyllium seed and then made into products by a conventional procedure to give the aimed fish or animal meat paste product. Effects of psyllium seed added can be further improved by adding both psyllium seed and collagen. The psyllium seed is natural plant gum obtained by sterilizing periderm of seed of Plantago ovata Forskal, grinding or grinding without sterilizing and optionally sieving. |
