PURPOSE:To extend the life of a titled device and to permit the easy maintenance and inspection thereof by disposing a plate for closing and plate for throttling crossing a nozzle hole in such a manner that said plates can be freely put into and out of the nozzle hole of a refractory block body. CONSTITUTION:A metal case 1 is installed to a shell D of a vessel A such as tundish. The refractory body 3 provided with the nozzle hole 2 and insertion holes 4, 5, respectively, and the plate 6 for throttling and the plate 7 for closing are disposed therein. The insertion holes 4 and 5 cross the nozzle hole 2 in this stage. Refractory gasket materials are disposed in the holes 4, 5. The device body 3 is made into the basically integral construction by such mechanism. Since the form of inserting the plates 6, 7 into the holes 4, 5 can be adopted, the wear resistance of the respective plates is improved and since the plates can be separately exchanged, the life of the device is extended and the easy maintenance and inspection of the device are permitted.
