PURPOSE:To improve the assembly work without producing a welding distortion, by composing the frame to install car body side members and suspension trailing arms to a chassis through supporting metals. CONSTITUTION:At the center of a supporting metal 5 installed between two cross members 3 and 3 which project to the outside of a side member 1, a recess 12 is formed, and in the hole 13 of the recess 12, a car body side member 14 is fastened by a bolt 16 with a nut 20 through mount rubbers 17 and 18. And to an axle pipe 21, a U-shape bracket 24 is installed, and both ends of a suspension trailing arm 25 are installed to the bracket 25 and near to the front end of the supporting metal 5 by shafts 26 and 27 respectively. Since the car body is held in such a way, and the supporting metal to shaft the front end of the suspension trailing arm can be installed without welding in the conventional method, there is no room of producing a welding distortion, and no deterioration of strength from the welding. Furthermore, the assembly work is improved.
