APPARATUS FOR MEASURING THE RATE OF ERYTHROSEDIMENTATION OF BLOOD

The appts. comprises a calibrated tube pipette making a sliding sealing fit in a cylindrical part (PC1) of a test tube (PR) while the pipette top has an overflow sleeve to receive excess blood from the test tube. The test tube open end pref. has a tapered section (TK) of which the tube is an extension with a second cylindrical part (PC2) of the larger cross-section than the first. The sleeve is pref. a cap which makes a force fit on the pipette and has an ovenflow channel receiving blood from the pipette and passing it to an excess blood tank to ensure automatic filling and zero levelling of the pipette.
