Package for an intrauterine contraceptive, comprising an openable, at least partially transparent sterile envelope, with at least two contraceptives being removably fitted inside said envelope. The contraceptives can be mounted on a card inserted in said envelope, by means of lugs foxmed in said card. Devices for catching a contraceptive in an applicator comprise a tube and a therethrough pushable rod, which is of greater length than the tube and has a hook at one end thereof.
