Substantially closed-cell polyolefin foams having good dimensional stability are provided by addn. of 0.1-10% of certain naphthylamine compds, and improved by borate or phosphinate glycol esters. Thus, polyethylene-polystyrene copolymer gives a foam with vol.contraction<=10% and have excellent compressive strength coeff., low compressive creep properties with <=6%. The homogeneous blends of polyethylene and polystyrene gives a foam with satisfying next condn. 7<=R<=90 10<=Y<=394.7+1.18R-294.1 log (D) R=melting index of polystyrene/ melting index of polyethylene. Y=polystyrene wt.% per polyethylene wt.100%. D=density (k/m3) of polyethylene-polystyrene.
