发明名称 FLOATING QUANTITY MEASURING METHOD FOR MAGNETIC HEAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the actual floating quantity without being almost affected by ambient temperature and humidity by fitting a probe of a high sensitivity displacement sensor to a spring support and detecting the displacement of a head at medium rotation so as to recognize the floating quantity of the head. CONSTITUTION:The plate spring support 4 fixed with the head at the tip of fitted to a head mount arm 5 and the arm 5 is movable in the radial direction of a disk medium to move the head to a prescribed position of the medium in the radial direction. An AE sensor as the high sensitivity displacement sensor 6 is mounted on the arm 5 and the probe 7 is fitted in the very vicinity of the head on the plate spring support. In driving the medium 2 by the rotary shaft 1, the head 3 is floated and the displacement is detected by the probe 7, the signal from the sensor 6 is led to an amplifier 8, where the signal is amplified and given to a display device 9 as a head floating quantity.
