PURPOSE:To ensure such a state where the contents of the received information are invisible from outside as long as a heat transfer member is not removed after recording, by providing the heat transfer member on a facsimile recording base material. CONSTITUTION:The recording paper consists of a base and the heat transfer member removably covering a part of a base material. For instance, the recording paper 1 contains the heat transfer paper 3 put on the ordinary paper 2 and the paper 2 is white or has another light color. While the paper 3 is black or has another dark color. When a heating tool 4 has been brought into contact with the paper 3, the black or another dark color is transferred to the paper 3 side on the paper 2 only at said contact part. Thus the desired characters or graphics are recorded on the paper 2. However these characters and graphics are invisible from outside since they are covered with the paper 3. Then the characters and graphics are visible on the paper 2 only when the paper 3 is removed by a specific privileged person.
