PURPOSE:To avoid useless communication by providing a facsimile terminal attribute management device to each store and forward exchange and connecting the attribute management devices by a communication line so as to form network constitution rich in the expanding performance. CONSTITUTION:In receiving an identification code of a terminal FAX-B being a communication party from a terminal FAX-A, a store and forward exchange S/F-A gives an identification code of a terminal FAX-B to a management device ATBC-A prior to the facsimile information reception from the terminal FAX-A. When the management device ATBC-A recognizes other equipment, a communication line with the management device ATBC-B of the store and forward exchange S/F-B accommodating the terminal FAX-B is set by a code of the terminal equipment FAX-B to inform the facsimile terminal attribute wof the terminal equipment FAX-A to the management device ATBC-B. The management device ATBC-An receiving the result of attribute collation from the device ATBC-B sends the result to the exchange S/F-A. Since it is not required to manage the attribute of the entire network by each store and forward exchange, the network constitution rich in the expansion performance is attained.
