The gas or liquid-storage equipment has a chamber lined with steel plates (1), gaps being formed between the latter which are covered by strips (6) fixed to the plates at their edges. Other strips (4) at the gaps are fixed to the chamber wall and bear against the plates to hold them in position on the wall. - Distortion of the chamber causes movement of the plates and variation of the gap widths. The curved profile of the first strips allows this movement while maintaining a tight seal.(3) |
