PURPOSE:To accurately calculate inclination in every azimuth and the largest inclination azimuth angle and to perform real-time control over a moving body by detecting the rotating angle and inclination of a rotating body which vary according to the inclination direction of a structure to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An L-shaped support plate 3 is stood at one corner of a cubic can body 1, a rotating shaft 8 is supported by bearings 7 and 6 of a support plate 4 stood opposite pieces 3a and 3b and the piece 3a, and a rotating shaft 17 is supported by bearings 16 and 17 of a support plate 5 and the piece 3b. Top plates 9a and 18a are fixed to the shafts 8 and 17 to suspend internal can bodies 9 and 18, and an optical slit disk 12 for an encoder which is provided with a weight 14 at the outer peripheral edge is supported on a support shaft 10 supported rotatably by a bearing 11 in a can body 9 at right angles to the shaft 8; and the angle of rotation of the disk 12 and the inclination of the shaft 8 to a horizontal surface are detected by an optical reader 13 projected radially from the disk 12 and the inclination of the shaft 17 is detected by a reader 19 of the same structure provided in the internal can body 18. The detection signals of the readers 13 and 19 are amplified and computed by a circuit 22 to display the maximum inclination and inclination azimuth angle.
