PURPOSE:To measure the moving direction of a moving body and a change in the moving direction by projecting two kinds of a laser light beams which differ in oscillation frequency by a master oscillator and a local oscillator, photodetecting reflected light from >=3 fine parts of the moving body, and measuring the momentary three-dimensional moving direction and rotating direction of the moving body. CONSTITUTION:The moving body 2 is irradiated with two kinds of laser light beams which differ in oscillation frequency from the master oscillator 4 and local oscillator 5 and reflected light beams from >=3 fine parts of the moving body are detected by detecting elements 6-8. The measuring operation is performed twice at a fine interval and acceleration is calculated from speed vectors of the fine parts to measure the moving direction of the moving body 2 and a change in the moving direction.
