PURPOSE:To correct color balance at a high speed and small scale constitution by using a converting table which uses the quantity of the dislocation and the luminance and the color difference of respective constituting picture elements of an image as an input, after the color difference of the picture element having a prescribed luminance is made into the dislocation of the color balance to output the correcting quantity of the color balance. CONSTITUTION:For the input of correction ROM 3 and 4, R-Y is composed of 3 inputs of Y, R-Y and a correcting quantity RY and as the result, a corrected R-Y' is outputted. B-Y is also the same. Correcting quantities DELTARY and DELTABY are calculated and stored beforehand. Here, for the input of the ROM 3 and 4, for example, R-Y is composed of only R-Y, DELTARY and Y and Ymax is not inputted. this is the reason why the Ymax is fixed to make smaller the number of the input bit of the ROM. Thus, by using the table conversion by 3 inputs of correcting quantity DELTAE, luminance and a color difference quantity, a high speed and effective color balance correction can be executed by a simple constitution. |
