PURPOSE:To permit the even heating of a food on the rack of a lower stage by a method wherein mono-directional circulating flow is formed in a heat ing chamber to provide the food on the rack of the lower stage with the sufficient amount of hot air. CONSTITUTION:Air in a heating chamber 2 is sucked from a suction port 5 into a casing 11 by a hot air circulating fan 12 and is blown off from a blow-off port to a space between the rack 8 of an upper stage and the upper wall of the heating chamber 2. By this blow-off, air, whose temperature is raised by the heat of an upper heater 6a, is blown toward a door 3. The door 3 is formed with a hot air introducing passageway 10 and unidirectional circulating flow is formed in the heating chamber 2 as shown by arrow signs in a diagram. According to this method, the surface side of the food 15 on the lower stage is heated directly by the hot air while the rear side of the same is heated indirectly by a lower heater 6b. As a result, the food 15 on the lower stage may be cooked evenly.
