PURPOSE:To prevent foreign matter from being attached to the surface at the time of successive uses, especially, at high temperature and high humidity, and to obtain stable and superior copied images against variable environmental conditions by treating the surface of a protective layer with plasma of gases containing halogen. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer 2 and the protective layer 3 treated on the surface with the plasma of the gas containing a halogen-containing compound are laminated on a conductive substrate 1, thus permitting the electrophotographic sensitive body to be resistant to the effects of variable circumstantial conditions, to be prevented from attaching of foreign matter, such as paper dust, to the surface, and from degradation of the surface, and from image defects, such as partial blank of an image, due to the damage of the stability of the surface. |
