PURPOSE:To permit a thick and thin fuel combustion to reduce nitrogen oxides remarkably without spoiling a combustion property by a method wherein a space between two sets of neighboring spray nozzles, which are arranged so as to by symmetry in the spray angle of the spray nozzles, is selected so as to meet the sectional configuration of the combustion chamber of a furnace. CONSTITUTION:Eight pieces of spray nozzles 2, which are provided with a spraying angle alpha0 and a diameter A, are opened on the same circumference of the fore part of the main body 1 of a burner tip and respective two pieces of the spray nozzles 2 are paired and neighbored with a phase angle gamma while a space between the neighboring pair of spray nozzles 2 is specified so as to have a phase angle beta. The range of beta/gamma=1.5-2.0 is preferable and the spray angle alpha is specified within 60-80 deg.. The paired two pieces of the spray nozzle are neighbored, therefore, four sets of split flames are formed and thick and thin fuel combustion is realized. Combustion field with a high fuel concentration and the combustion fields with a low fuel concentration are formed and split flames, which meet the configuration of the combustion chamber, are formed, therefore, the highest flame temperature may be reduced, the reduction of oxygen concentration in flame forming areas may be achieved whereby the remarkable reducing effect of nitrogen oxides may be realized. Furthermore, early finish of combustion may be achieved. |
