PURPOSE:To provide an adhesive compsn. having excellent T-peel strength and tensile shear strength and suitable for use in bonding metallic structural materials, by mixing a high-molecular polyol compd. with a low-molecular polyol compd., a polyisocyanate and an inorg. moisture absorbent. CONSTITUTION:A high-molecular polyol compd. (A) having a number-average MW of 500-8,000 (e.g., polyoxypropylene glycol) is mixed with a low-molecular polyol compd. (B) having a number-average MW of 50-500 (e.g., a propylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A), a polyisocyanate compd. (C) (e.g., diphenylmethane diisocyanate) and an inorg. moisture absorbent (D) (e.g., zeolite or anhydrous gypsum) to obtain a desired adhesive compsn. The compsn. has excellent adhesion, particularly when used in bonding metallic structural materials. The compsn. is suitable for use in bonding the structural members of aircrafts, vehicles, etc.
