PURPOSE:To control the same air conditioners from different places by providing a plurality of remote control devices which are provided with an operation control data transmission route and a receiving circuit for transmitted signals among them. CONSTITUTION:Operation control data are transmitted as a serial signal through a signal line 7 from each remote controllers 1a and 1b. When the signal is received at a main body 6 by a reception circuit 8, the content of signal is displayed in display circuits 5a and 5b. For example, a microcomputer 4a of a remote controller 1a forms control data from the information from an input circuit 3a and sends out serial signals. A microcomputer 11 of the main body 6 of an air conditioner receives signal and sets up control data out of them to control the operation of the air conditioner. A microcomputer 4b of a remote controller 1b which receives no control data receives transmitted signals of a remote controller 1a from a reception circuit 12b to set up control data and display data. The contents of display in each remote controller 1a or 1b is controlled the same by changing the content of display in a display circuit 5b.
