The invention relates to a device making it possible to connect, instantaneously, simply by pushing in, a single conductor, or two conductors of the same polarity, into a screw or bayonet lighting socket, the cap of which has been specifically designed for its insertion. The device essentially comprises: a casing 1, made of brass, and a double gripper 2, made of suitable stainless steel. The device, connected to a terminal by means of a terminal strip, will constitute a contact for a light fitting. <IMAGE>
