PURPOSE:To perform connection to an opposite bypassing a circuit by a forward-transfer means when a circuit traffic is busy, and to utilize a transmission line with superior transmission picture quality, by performing a forward- transfer requesting a short connection when the connection to the opposite is not detected by a supervisory means in clocking by a timepiece means. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 100 in a data communication equipment starts up a trunk line start up circuit 200, and calls trunk lines L1 and L2 by forming a DC loop on the trunk lines L1 and L2. Also, at the time of detecting a dial signal from a station side, an automatic dialing set 300 is started up, and the FM signal of a telephone number corresponding to a call opposite, is sent to the trunk lines L1 and L2. Afterwards, a line supervisory means 400 supervises the completion of the sending of the FM signal, and a timepiece means 500 is started up, then a start signal is outputted. The inversion of the polarity in the signal of a telephone set responding previously is supervised, and the clocking by the means 500 is stopped by the inversion of the polarity. And the control device 100 performs the connection to the opposite bypassing the circuit when the traffic is busy.
