A comminution installation with air flow consists of a mill and of an air separator mounted on the mill. The separator is produced in the shape of a lamellae separator having a fixed steering ring and a rotating separation container placed concentrically with respect to the latter. Between the casing 1 of the separator and the steering ring there is formed an annular space 8, whose cross-section is designed so that an increase in the speed of the air of separation occurs at this location. The lamellae 7.1 of the steering ring are tilted in the direction of rotation 20 of the separation container, and the lamellae 4.1 of the separation container 4 are tilted in the direction opposite to the said direction of rotation 20.
