PURPOSE:To obtain a good press-plate from the start of the process, by a method wherein an ink on an ink sheet is thermo-transferred on a hydrophilic plate material with a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 20 is controlled through a driver 29; motors M1 and M2 are controlled by a CPU 4 through an I/O interface 9. A hydrophilic master paper 10 is fed from a roller 3 to a thermal transfer portion of a platen roller 1 by the rotation of the motor M1, and a thermal head 20 scans one line on the hydrophilic master paper 10 by driving the motor M2; in this manner, a thermal transfer for one line is conducted. The thermal transfer mentioned above is successively carried out to thermo-transfer an ink of an ink sheet 20 to the hydrophilic master paper 10 to reperoduce inputted picture data PD whereby a plate for printing is made. |
