PURPOSE:To prevent color misregister from occurring, by feeding a paper while pressing two pressure rollers against a platen until recording in a predetermined color is finished, and feeding the paper while separating one of the pressure rollers from the platen after the recording is finished. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon is moved in the direction of an arrow D, and is stopped when the leading end of a yellow ink coated area is set in position. Then, a platen 4 is rotated to move a paper 2 in the direction of an arrow C, while moving the ribbon 3 in the direction of the arrow D, and heat generating elements of a head 1 are driven, thereby printing in yellow. A cam 20 is then rotated a predetermined angle in the direction of an arrow A, thereby turning down the head 1. Subsequently, the paper 2 is moved in the direction of an arrow E to an initial position, the ink ribbon 3 is moved in the direction of the arrow D, is stopped when the leading end of magenta ink coated area is set in position, the head is turned up, and printing in magenta is performed. These operations are repeated until printing in cyan is finished. After printing is finished, a gear 15 is rotated in the direction of the arrow A to push up the head l and separate a rear pressure roller 6 from the platen 4, and the platen 4 is rotated to feed out the paper 2 in the direction of the arrow C. |
